Tim has a business degree from Edith Cowans University Perth and is an Australian Certified Practising Accountant as well as an Australian-qualified Company Secretary.
Before joining Al Ghaith & Co, he had worked in senior accounting positions in various locations including Australia, PNG, Indonesia, Kuwait, Zambia and the UK, where he was involved in a variety of industries covering all areas of the accounting sphere.
He was a regular contributor to the Gulf News with his weekly “Howe To Do It” column covering topical financial matters and has written articles for BBC Worldwide. He also maintains a weekly blog – www.howesdubai.com – which is a review of both local and international financial news.
He has been active in the academic field and has tutored MBA courses at various universities in Dubai including Wollongong (Australia), Paisley (UK) and Michigan (USA).
He is a shareholder and the Finance Director of Spearhead Training – the leading training company in Dubai and was responsible for introducing the company to the region.
Tim was a past Chairman of the Australian Business Council in Dubai. In PNG, he was the Honorary British Correspondent - North Solomons Province – during the time of the civil war
