haysmacintyre bolsters governance expertise with new Independent Non-Executive appointment
We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Shimi Shah as our second Independent Non-Executive (INE) Director and Chair of the Leadership Board. The appointment supports our ambitious plans to remain progressive, market-leading and forward-looking.
Shimi will work closely with the members of the Leadership Board – including Stephen Wardell, the firm’s other INE, who joined in October 2022 – to help the firm achieve its business strategy as a partner-owned firm.
Shimi has been actively involved in building, scaling, and running businesses, incubators, innovation policy, fund management, and venture capital for over 20 years across the US, Europe, and the Middle East. Leveraging Shimi’s broad experience will reinforce the firm’s ability to meet its mission statement of being a firm that continually invests in its people, equipping them with the right skills, to work with the right clients in the right way.

Shimi’s appointment comes at a time of continued investment at haysmacintyre as it celebrates 77 promotions across all grades, including 6 new partners, alongside a 24% increase in headcount over the past year.
