KG Law Firm advises BlueFuel S.A. in major biogas unit acquisition

KG Law Firm's energy & infrastructure team advised BlueFuel S.A. in the acquisition of a biogas production unit located in the Region of Central Macedonia, operated through its affiliate entity, GREENMOUNTAIN BIOCO S.L. As a member of Molgas Energy Holding, the acquired unit boasts an initial capacity of 950 kW, with plans for a 750 kW expansion, totaling 1.7 MW.

KG Law Firm supported BlueFuel in various aspects of the deal including legal due diligence, provision of advice on deal structuring, corporate support on various legal aspects, drafting and negotiation of the transaction documents and provision of support on legal matters until the closing of the transaction. Additionally, KG’s tax team conducted a tax due diligence and provided tax advice on all aspects of the transaction.

This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in the group's expansion within the renewable fuels sector.

The accomplished energy infrastructure team members involved in supporting BlueFuel include Anna-Maria Papamichalopoulou (Associate), who served as the focal point for the transaction, drafted and negotiated transaction documents; Maria Agapi (Maya) Alexiadi (Junior Associate), engaged in due diligence and transaction completion; and Melina Kolovetsiou (Associate), handling land, regulatory matters, and developing due diligence reports.
