MSI's Mexican law member RVA Abogados S.C. is delighted to announce a new energy and international operation affairs practice area, spearheaded by senior associate Marcela Marquez.
For more than 24 years, Marquez acted as General Counsel in P.M.I. Comercio Internacional, S.A de C.V. (PMI), which has been the international commercial branch of Petroleos Mexicanos for 27 years.
Throughout her legal career, she has been part of important negotiations of several contracts in the international and national energy sector dealing with multimillion-dollar contracts. She has vast experience as a negotiator with Mexican government authorities in light of the new Energy and Petroleum regulatory framework and laws i.e. Energy Regulation Commission, Energy Ministry, Treasury Ministry, Energy Ministry and National Commission of Hydrocarbons. Her responsibilities included legal handling and has the role of Secretary of their Board of Directors in all of them.
Marquez aims to develop this new practice area further and make it a success at the firm.
